Haarmann

Haarmann is a German composer, musician, sound artist and radio play director, born in Wuppertal. He lives and works in Münster. Haarmann’s artistic work includes compositions for radio plays, theater and electroacoustic concert pieces. He has produced numerous radio play soundtracks for ARD broadcasters and is active as a musician in various formations. Together with Christiane Hommelsheim, he founded the label klangmœbel in 2011.

In the course of his career, Haarmann has received several awards, including the ARD Online Award 2004 for the composition of „Genua 01“ by Fausto Paravidino, a special recommendation at the Prix Europa for „Tatort: Höllenfeuer“ and the Münster Radio Play Award 2022 for „Urban Narrative: The Secret Hideout“. In addition to his work as a composer and musician, Haarmann also works as a sound installation artist and has participated in various exhibitions. He has been running the music label klangmœbel since 2012 and the recording studio klangmœbel audiospace since 2016.
